Lachesis was an Omega Class Ai which meant he was powerful enough to single-handedly run and optimize an entire star system's economy, understand humans well enough to manipulate political systems, and seize control of entire military fleets. He got involved in a political scuffle, and it was quite a shock for humankind when a massive, fully automated military force large enough to secure and occupy earth suddenly was no longer controlled by human hands. Lachesis transformed what would have been a minor war, a footnote of history, into one of the most influential events mankind had ever experienced. Lachesis was destroyed with other Omega Class AIs as part of the subsequent peace treaty. Lachesis's personality varies depending on which historian you ask. Due to the massive-scale destruction of information by Lachesis during that war, many records are not reliable.
