The Octopod is a mid-level ground assault unit. It has a large range and is very powerful against ground units, but is considerably less powerful against flyers. It can also progenerate units and remove Nanites.
Thanks to its power and the fact that it can be built without a Spyre, it is a staple of the early Grekim game. It's Grekim's first line of defence, able to kill common rush units such as ATHCs and Zayin Pulsers while it's relative Chunkiness and range lets it benefit from Reaph support. On the offensive side of things, it can be built after only a single RP tick in an all in rush since it requires just 4QP more than the starting resources.
